York Vault is made by F9 LLC (“we”, “us”). These terms cover the website yorkvault.com and the web app. They also cover the York Vault apps for iPhone, iPad, Android and Mac. The terms of the store you got York Vault from also apply. For the App Store, that is Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement. For Google Play, that is the Google Play Terms of Service.

Using the website
You can read, link to and share the pages on this site. Do not use the site to send spam, to try to break into it, to overload it, or to collect data from it at scale in a way that harms it. Search engines and answer engines may read the site as robots.txt allows.
Guides and comparisons
We write guides and comparisons with care, check them against their sources, and show the date we last checked each one. Apps, iOS and Android change, so a page can be out of date. The pages are information, not professional, legal or security advice for your situation. If you find a mistake, write to hello@yorkvault.com and we will fix it.
Names of other apps and companies belong to their owners. We mention them to compare and to help you move your files, not to claim any connection with them.
Community forum
You can post in the community forum if you follow the community rules. You keep the rights to what you write. When you send a post, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use it on yorkvault.com. The license lets us store, show, copy and format the post while it is public. Only send what you have the right to share.
A moderator reads every post before it shows. We may refuse, remove or restore any post at any time, under the rules or to follow the law. We do not edit posts. Posts are the views of the people who wrote them, not ours, and they are not support. For help with your own library, contact support.
If you suggest a feature, we may build it, or something like it, with no duty to you.
The app
York Vault keeps your items encrypted on your device and in your own iCloud or Google Drive, or in York Cloud if you choose it. You are responsible for your code and your recovery key. We do not keep a copy, so we cannot open your items or reset your code. Viewing, export and restore of your own items stay free on every plan. Privacy policy.
Plans and features
Features, plans and prices can change. You buy Plus, Pro or Family through the App Store or Google Play. The store listing shows the price in your currency before you buy. Apple handles payments, renewals and refunds for App Store purchases. Google handles payments and renewals for Google Play purchases. Refunds follow the Google Play refund policies. Ask for a refund through the store you used.
A plan works on every device where your library is. You manage it in the store where you bought it.
Our content
The York Vault name, logo, rosette pattern and the text and design of this site belong to us. You may quote short parts with a link to the page.
No warranty
We provide the website as it is, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
Limits of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss from using this website. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit, or your rights as a consumer where you live.
Changes
We may change these terms. The date at the top shows the last change. If you keep using the site after a change, the new terms apply.
